See Sea House, completed in December, 2018, sits on the grounds of the beachfront boutique resort La Bougainvillea. It comes with full access to the resort's amenities including an excellent restaurant and bar and a world-class pink-sand beach. Guests at See Sea enjoy the privacy of a private home but with resort amenities including access to room service, housekeeping, in-suite massage, concierge service, and more, all available for an extra charge.
The first floor of See Sea consists of a great room looking out on a private patio and a private pool. The luxurious fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops. The large living and dining areas flow out to a private wrap around patio with both shaded and open areas and a stunning in-ground pool.
Upstairs, See Sea has two king bedroom suites, each with an enormous private deck and a luxuriously appointed full bath. One suite has an ocean view and the other a garden view.
La Bougainvillea is situated on Poponi Beach, a mile-long stretch of pink sand and turquoise water protected by a barrier reef. This beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and long walks.
Amenities include air conditioning throughout, WIFI, charcoal grill, backup generator and cable TV. Amenities available but not included are room service, housekeeping, and in-room massage.
The town of Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is less than 10 minutes by car from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it. The international airport is 15 minutes away.
Upscale restaurants in the area include La Bougainvillea (international cuisine), which is on the property, Tippy's (international and fusion), The Buccaneer (Bahamian cuisine with Caribbean-Chinese fusion), 1648 Restaurant (Bahamian cuisine inspired by European influences), Bacchus Fine Foods (gourmet restaurant and food store), and Pascal's at Sky Beach Club (International cuisine with Bahamian influences). The above all have live music one or more nights a week, so there is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night. The Governors Harbour area also has numerous little takeouts and restaurants offering local cuisine, including Da Perk (coffee shop and sandwiches), Mate and Jenny's (pizza and Bahamian), the Sunset Inn (local cuisine), and LeoRose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill (local cuisine, drinks, live music).

Summary: See Sea is a fantastic location and house. We had great communications with Pam throughout the process and she was helpful and sent us many recommendations. Check in we were greeted at the resort with welcome beverages. The house is only a fee steps away from the main resort with access to drinks, restaurant, pool and beach access. The resort staff was exceptional and you are able to leave a credit card to sign meals and drinks to your bill. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were great. The house is so well laid out and clean. Dishes to eat in or enjoy take out. Comfy beds and great linens as well. The housekeeping staff kept us us in towels all week. The air conditioning is superb and there are extra blankets in case you need. Proper closet for hanging clothes with plenty of hangers. Games and books to enjoy and the private pool is a bonus. We will be back for sure and you absolutely cant beat the location and experience of this house. Two decks off the bedrooms that you can enjoy coffee or just a nap. Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us. Tremendous!

Summary: My family and I had an amazing experience at See Sea House! The house was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities we needed (including access to all the La Bougainvillea resort amenities). Communication with the property manager was outstanding (including instant responses to emails on weekends). Great location on the island and a short walk to an amazing pink sand beach. Close to many of the best restaurants on the island including the fantastic restaurant at the resort. Would definitely recommend this houses and location!

The AC in the common area and bedrooms was appreciated. The pool was refreshing. The full size appliances were also nice. Areas of attention include the W/D hooked up for use. The resort offered to do laundry. Also, the circuit breaker needed reset during the week for resuming the hot water. Overall a welcoming space for adults. Happy we visited.

We were greeted with cocktails by the most happy, friendly people. As we toured the property our driver and staff carried our bags and groceries to our house. We were escorted and oriented to our house. Very new and clean property. We felt independent from the Resort yet at same time very included with bar, restaurant on site. Most fabulous experience. All info provided prior to travel was so helpful with travel suggestions and names of transportation options. Exceptional!!!!
